CASH IN ON YOUR SEASON: PREPARE IN CHRONOS. BUILD IN KAIROS.

There are things that will come to pass simply because their appointed time has arrived.

Walk through an airport, shopping mall or office building and you will encounter automatic doors. Once you reach the required proximity, they open. But other doors require the right key, authorised access or someone on the inside to open them.

You can push, pull and knock with all your strength, but without the right access or before the appointed time the door will remain closed. wait.

Life also has doors that open according to seasons.

No matter how intelligent or prepared a student may be, an examination cannot be taken before the scheduled time unless a special exemption is granted. A farmer does not plant a seed today and harvest it tomorrow. A woman does not conceive and give birth on the same day. A student does not enrol in university and graduate the following morning.

The process counts.

Every lecture attended, assignment completed, seed watered, prayer offered, skill developed, relationship nurtured and late night spent preparing contributes to the eventual result.

You do not begin climbing a mountain from its summit.

There is a time to prepare, a time to plant, a time to persevere and a time to harvest.

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. Ecclesiastes 3:1

The Bible helps us understand two dimensions of time: chronos and kairos.

Chronos is sequential time the minutes, days, months and years through which life unfolds.

Kairos is an appointed or opportune moment a defining season when preparation, purpose and opportunity meet.

Kairos moments do not happen every day, but every day in chronos can prepare you for kairos.

That is why waiting must never be confused with doing nothing.

As you wait:

Pray.

Fast.

Study the Word.

Develop your gift.

Build your discipline.

Keep learning.

Keep showing up.

Keep posting.

Keep creating.

Keep applying.

Keep making.

Keep investing.

Keep knocking.

Keep building.

What you consistently do in chronos will speak when your kairos arrives.

PREPARE BEFORE THE DOOR OPENS

In Matthew 25, Jesus told the parable of a master who entrusted his servants with talents:

And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability. Matthew 25:15

Two servants invested what they had received and produced more. One buried his talent.

The question is not only, When will my opportunity come?

The question is also, What am I doing with what God has already placed in my hands?

Are you developing your talent or burying it?

Are you preparing for the position you have been praying for?

If the investor called today, would your business be ready?

If the promotion came, would your leadership capacity sustain it?

If your helper opened the door, would you have something valuable to present?

If the world finally paid attention, would your work be ready to be seen?

Do not look forward to kairos while wasting chronos.

Your daily choices determine whether your appointed season becomes a season of manifestation or another season of preparation.

JOSEPH WAS PREPARED FOR HIS MOMENT

Joseph had dreams long before he had influence.

Between the dream and the palace came rejection, slavery, false accusation, imprisonment and waiting. Yet none of those years was wasted. God was developing his character, wisdom, administrative capacity and ability to interpret dreams.

Then Pharaoh had a dream that no one could explain.

Joseph was remembered.

He was brought out of prison, interpreted Pharaoh’s dream and presented a strategy for Egypt. In one defining moment, he moved from prisoner to governor.

Joseph’s promotion may have appeared sudden, but his preparation was not.

The palace revealed what chronos had developed in him.

Your kairos may also arrive suddenly. A name may be mentioned in a room. A forgotten application may be reopened. A helper may remember you. An opportunity may emerge unexpectedly. A conversation may change the direction of your life.

But when your name is called, will you be ready?

There is a memorial before God. Even when your eyes cannot yet see results, your prayers, service, obedience, sacrifices and faithful work are not forgotten.

May God open your book of remembrance.

Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion (put you name): for the time to favour her ( put yout name), yea, the set time, is come — Psalm 102:13

Today I declare:

The time to favour .....(name) ....has come.

My time has come.

(Name)....time has come.

My, your, our set time has come.

DO NOT MISS YOUR TIME OF VISITATION

When kairos arrives, it must be recognised and maximised.

The woman with the issue of blood had suffered for twelve years. She had spent all she had seeking healing, but instead of improving, she became worse. When she heard that Jesus was passing by, she refused to remain in the crowd. She reached out and touched his garment.

Her long season of pain did not stop her from recognising her moment of healing.

Blind Bartimaeus also heard that Jesus was passing by. Although people told him to be quiet, he cried even louder:

Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me— Mark 10:47

He understood that Jesus might not pass that way again. He refused to allow embarrassment, opposition or the opinions of the crowd to make him miss his moment.

In Acts 3, a man who had been unable to walk from birth was carried daily to the temple gate. He had sat there many times before, but one particular day became his appointed moment. Peter and John arrived, and his life changed.

Every ordinary looking day carries the possibility of divine opportunity.

That is why builders must learn to discern seasons.

Some opportunities will require you to wait. Others will require you to move immediately.

Some doors should not be forced. Others will demand courage, persistence and obedience.

Some voices must be ignored. Others carry the word appointed for your season.

Do not miss your kairos because you became discouraged during chronos.

DO NOT GIVE UP WHILE YOU WAIT

Perhaps you have been searching for a job for a long time.

Maybe you have been overlooked for promotion, building a business without visible results, praying for healing, trusting God for restoration, trying to break a painful family pattern (poverty, delay, stagnation etc) or working to escape an average/ mediocre life.

It may feel as though nothing is changing.

But waiting is not always rejection, and preparation is not wasted time.

God’s timing cannot be manipulated. You cannot force January to become June. You cannot force a harvest before the seed has taken root. You cannot force a genuine breakthrough or manufacture a God ordained door.

But you can prepare.

Sow your seeds. You do not know which one will coincide with your appointed season.

Send the application.

Develop the proposal.

Write the book.

Take the course.

Build the prototype.

Make the call.

Serve faithfully.

Strengthen your character.

Sharpen your gift.

Prepare for the prophecy and dreams God has placed in your heart.

Keep pushing until the right door opens.

Keep praying until something changes.

Keep building until the work becomes visible.

Keep believing even when your eyes cannot see the results.

There will be days of battle, but those days will reveal the strength you accumulated during your ordinary days of preparation.

Pain can also teach you to recognise kairos. People who have waited, struggled and fought to change their lives understand the value of an open door. They know there is no time to waste when the moment finally comes.

When your season arrives, cash in on it. be ready to cash in. Seasons come and go.

Move.

Obey.

Speak.

Apply.

Build.

Maximise the opportunity.

Do not assume that every day will be a day of pain or struggle. Seasons change. God makes all things beautiful in his time.

He hath made every thing beautiful in his time. Ecclesiastes 3:11

Your appointed season will carry its own grace. Doors that resisted you may begin to open. The right people may find you. Unexpected opportunities may emerge from every direction. What once felt impossible may begin to flow with divine alignment.

This does not mean there will be no work or resistance. It means the grace, help,  access and opportunity required for that season will be present.

But remain discerning. Impatience can make people accept counterfeits. Not every open door is your door, and not every opportunity is from God. Do not abandon your values or force what God has not authorised simply because you are tired of waiting.

Pray for wisdom. Know your season. Recognise your time of visitation.

BUILDERS, THE PROCESS COUNTS

The day a farmer plants is not the day of harvest but the watering and waiting matters.

The day a woman conceives is not the day she gives birth but every stage of development matters.

The day a student enrols is not graduation day but every lecture, assignment and examination matters.

The day you begin building may not be the day the world recognises you but every disciplined step matters. e.g Consistency Compounds. 

One day, there will be a harvest.

There will be a child.

There will be a graduation.

There will be a breakthrough.

There will be a testimony.

There will be a finished building.

There will be evidence that the process was producing something all along.

Every builder has chronos.

Every builder will encounter kairos.

But what you do with your chronos will determine whether you are prepared when kairos comes.

Do not give up because the door has not opened yet.

Prepare until preparation meets opportunity.

Build until consistency meets favour.

Pray until obedience meets divine timing.

Sow until seed meets season.

One day, your name will be called.

One day, your book will be opened.

One day, the right door will recognise your access.

And when that moment comes, may you be spiritually, mentally, professionally and practically ready to enter.

Maximise your chronos. Discern your kairos. Cash in on your season.

Your everyday preparation is building the capacity required for your appointed moment.
