Look to God, commit the desire to Him, trust Him, and let Him work.

A Prayer for a God-Given Husband and a God-Built Marriage

Heavenly Father,

I come before You with an open heart. You know my desires, my past, my pain, my hopes and the future You have prepared for me.

Lord, I surrender my desire for marriage to You. I do not want to force love. I do not want to chase what You have not assigned to me. I do not want to enter another relationship simply because I am lonely, afraid or tired of waiting.

If You are not in it, I do not want it.

If Your presence is not going with me, I do not want to go.

Your Word says:

“My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” — Exodus 33:14

So Lord, let Your presence lead me—even in love.

I ask You for a God-given husband a man who loves You, seeks You and is willing to walk with You. A man of integrity, wisdom, faithfulness, love and purpose.

Your Word says:

“Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor.” — Ecclesiastes 4:9

Father, if marriage is part of Your plan for me, bring me into a partnership where we are truly better together Let us help one another, encourage one another, pray for one another and build together.

Not a relationship where I carry everything alone.

Not a relationship built on deception, confusion or pain.

But a relationship built on truth, peace, friendship, trust and You.

Lord, prepare my future husband to love as Your Word commands:

“Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her.” — Ephesians 5:25

Give me a husband who understands that love is not just words, but sacrifice, consistency, protection, faithfulness and action.

And Lord, prepare me too.

Teach me how to love well. Heal what needs healing within me. Remove fear, bitterness, insecurity and the patterns that could destroy what You are building.

Your Word also teaches wives to respect and honour their husbands. Give me the wisdom to be a godly wife not through fear or losing myself, but through mutual love, respect and reverence for You.

Let our marriage begin with the foundation of:

“Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.” — Ephesians 5:21

Father, I ask for a marriage where **both of us submit first to You.

Let us pray together.

Let us build together.

Let us make decisions together.

Let us raise our family with wisdom.

Let us strengthen one another when life becomes difficult.

Let us not compete against each other, but become partners in purpose.

I pray for a man who will not pull me away from my purpose, but will help me become everything You created me to be. And make me a woman who will also support, encourage and strengthen him in his God-given assignment.

Lord, if You can answer prayers suddenly, You can answer this prayer in Your perfect timing. Nothing is too difficult for You.

“For with God nothing shall be impossible.” — Luke 1:37

I will not limit You.

I will not manipulate the process.

I will not settle because I am afraid of being alone.

But neither will I believe that my past has disqualified me from experiencing healthy, godly love.

Heal me. Prepare me. Position me.

And when the time is right, let what You bring into my life bring peace and not confusion.

Let me recognise what is from You through fruit, character, consistency, truth and godly wisdom not simply emotion or attraction.

And when You bring us together, may we be able to say:

“God built this.”

Let our marriage be a place of rest.

A place of prayer.

A place of laughter.

A place of friendship.

A place where love is safe.

A place where purpose grows.

A place where generations are blessed.

Father, I trust You.

I release the how.

I release the when.

I release the who into Your hands.

But I also ask boldly, because You tell us to ask.

Marriage is Your will for my life, Lord, answer me.

Bring the right man not simply a man who wants me, but a man who is willing and able to walk with me in truth, commitment, faith and purpose.

And until then, let me never become so desperate for a relationship that I abandon Your presence.

Because my first prayer remains:

“If Your Presence does not go with me, do not send me from here.” — Exodus 33:15

And Your promise to me is:

“My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” — Exodus 33:14

I trust You, God.

I trust Your timing.

I trust Your wisdom.

I trust Your process.

If You are in it, I am willing to receive it.

If You are not in it, remove it from me.

Lead me into the love, purpose and future You have prepared for me.

In Jesus’ name,

A declaration for your future marriage

I will not beg for what God can provide.

I will not chase what God has not assigned.

I will not settle because of loneliness.

I trust God to lead me.

I trust God to prepare me.

And if marriage is part of His plan for my life, I trust Him to bring the right partnership in His way and in His time.

Two are better than one but only when both are walking in the right direction.

And for you as a builder:

May the person who walks beside you not distract you from what God is building in you. May they strengthen your hands, your faith, your home and your purpose.

BELIEVE. BRAND. BUILD.

But above everything else walk with God.
