FUTURE AFRICA FRIDAYS: MNCOLLECTIVE BUILDERS AFRICA ALIGNMENT AND CONFIRMATION FOR BUILDERS TO ARISE, BUILD AND REBUILD.

Yesterday, listening to Apostle Joshua Selman during Rhema Fest speak about rebuibuilders, builders and reformers,  something struck me deeply.

This language aligns and feels very close to what we have been sharing. positioning and building through MN Collective Builders Africa.

A CALL TO REBUILDERS, BUILDERS & REFORMERS.

A call to Africa builders, rebuilders and reformers your season for showing forth has come. 

GOD builds through men.

See leadership and building as a spiritual responsibility. 

Lets Arise, shine, for our light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon us as builders, rebuildersand reformers. Isaiah 60:1

Daniel 11:32 (NKJV):

“But the people ' builders' who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.”

Africa needs a generation that knows their God, develops capacity, and goes out to do great exploits building people, businesses, institutions and nations.

BUILD WITH GOD. BUILD BY FAITH. BUILD WITH WISDOM. BUILD WITH EXCELLENCE.

BELIEVE. BRAND. BUILD AFRICA.

Because Africa cannot keep waiting.

Waiting for governments.

Waiting for investors.

Waiting for someone from somewhere else.

Waiting for the economy to change.

Waiting for jobs to appear.

Waiting for somebody to discover us.

Waiting for the perfect conditions.

There comes a time when a generation must hear:

AFRICA, ARISE.

And then:

AFRICA, BUILD.

But who exactly is a builder?

Who is a reformer?

And perhaps more importantly:

HOW ARE BUILDERS MADE?

FIRST, THINK ABOUT A PHYSICAL BUILDER.

Before a builder puts up a building, they do not simply arrive with bricks and start laying them.

They first ask:

What are we building?

They study the land.

They identify the need.

They examine the environment.

They develop the architecture.

They calculate what will be required.

They establish the foundation.

They gather materials.

They bring together different skills.

Engineers.

Architects.

Electricians.

Plumbers.

Carpenters.

Masons.

Surveyors.

Project managers.

Then they build.

Layer by layer.

Brick by brick.

Day after day.

And when something is broken, they don't simply stand outside complaining about it.

They assess it.

They determine what can be restored.

What must be removed.

What needs reinforcement.

What needs redesigning.

And then they get to work.

THIS IS THE MINDSET OF A BUILDER.

Builders see what is but they can also imagine what could be.

And then they accept responsibility for closing the gap.

SO WHAT IS A REFORMER?

A reformer encounters something that is no longer producing the outcome it should and asks:

How can this become better?

A reformer does not destroy simply for the sake of disruption.

A reformer restores, corrects, improves, rebuilds and realigns.

That reform can happen anywhere.

In education.

In agriculture.

In government.

In technology.

In families.

In healthcare.

In tourism.

In manufacturing.

In media.

In fashion.

In finance.

In churches.

In communities.

In organisations.

A reformer looks at a broken or underperforming system and refuses to accept:

This is simply how things are.

Instead, they ask:

WHAT CAN THIS BECOME?

And then they participate in making it become.

THIS IS WHY AFRICA NEEDS BUILDERS.

There are problems everywhere.

But builders see something different when they encounter problems.

They see assignments.

Poor education?

Someone must build better learning systems.

Youth unemployment?

Someone must build businesses and industries that create work.

Farmers losing produce?

Someone must build better storage, logistics and market access.

African products struggling to compete globally?

Someone must build stronger brands, distribution and manufacturing capacity.

Communities without opportunity?

Someone must build ecosystems around them.

Young people without direction?

Someone must build people.

That is the shift.

FROM COMPLAINING ABOUT THE GAP TO BUILDING INTO THE GAP.

BUT BUILDERS DON'T JUST EMERGE.

This is one of the strongest ideas I took from Apostle Joshua Selman's message.

People must be built before they can build.

You cannot consistently produce what has never been developed inside you.

Before we build companies, institutions, industries and nations, we must also build:

CHARACTER.

WISDOM.

COMPETENCE.

DISCIPLINE.

COURAGE.

KNOWLEDGE.

CAPACITY.

INTEGRITY.

VISION. 

RESPONSIBILITY.

MASTERY.

STEWARDSHIP.

Apostle Selman speaks about building people through the nature of Christ, the wisdom of Christ and the power of Christ.

That matters.

Because Africa does not simply need powerful people.

We need whole people.

Character without competence can leave good intentions without results.

Competence without character can build powerful but corrupt systems.

Vision without discipline becomes another abandoned dream.

Prayer without responsibility can become an excuse for inactivity.

Knowledge without execution changes very little.

THE BUILDER MUST FIRST BE BUILT.

THE BIBLE IS FILLED WITH BUILDERS.

Think about Noah.

God gave him an instruction to build something that did not make sense to the world around him.

He built anyway.

Genesis 6:14

Think about Nehemiah.

He heard that Jerusalem's walls were broken.

He mourned.

He prayed.

But he did not stop at prayer.

He assessed the damage.

He mobilised people.

He organised resources.

He faced opposition.

And then he declared:

Come, let us rebuild the wall of Jerusalem Nehemiah 2:17

That is a builder.

He saw brokenness and accepted responsibility.

Then there is Bezalel.

God filled him with His Spirit and gave him wisdom, understanding, knowledge and skill to create and build.

Exodus 31:1–5

There is something important here.

Spiritual empowerment and practical skill were not enemies.

God empowered craftsmanship.

God empowered excellence.

God empowered work.

Then Paul says:

According to the grace of God which was given unto me, as a wise master builder, I have laid the foundation…1 Corinthians 3:10.

And Proverbs gives us one of the great principles of building:

Through wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established. Proverbs 24:3

Building requires wisdom.

AND THEN THERE IS ISAIAH 58:12.

This verse could almost become a Builders Africa scripture:

Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins and will raise up the age-old foundations; you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.

Read those words again.

REBUILD.

REPAIR.

RESTORE.

That is the work of reformers.

Not merely identifying what previous generations got wrong.

But asking:

WHAT WILL OUR GENERATION REBUILD?

THIS IS WHERE MN COLLECTIVE COMES IN.

MN Collective does not exist because we believe everybody must become an entrepreneur, a builder or a reformer. 

We are different.

Not everybody is called to start a company.

Not everybody will build the same thing.

But builders exist everywhere.

The teacher can be a builder.

The entrepreneur can be a builder.

The engineer can be a builder.

The mother raising children can be a builder.

The designer can be a builder.

The farmer can be a builder.

The civil servant can be a builder.

The pastor can be a builder.

The marketer can be a builder.

The technologist can be a builder.

The student can become a builder.

Our responsibility is to help identify, awaken, equip and position builders.

Because builders don't simply emerge.

BUILDERS ARE BUILT.

Their mindset must be built.

Their character must be built.

Their skills must be built.

Their confidence must be built.

Their ability to communicate must be built.

Their capacity to solve problems must be built.

Their understanding of money must be built.

Their ability to execute must be built.

Their ability to lead must be built.

Their faith must be built.

Their resilience must be built.

And eventually:

THEY BUILD OTHERS.

That is the multiplier.

BELIEVE. BRAND. BUILD.

This is why these three words continue to make sense for MN Collective Builders Africa. 

BELIEVE.

Before anything is built physically, someone must first believe it is possible.

We challenge limiting mindsets.

We restore possibility.

We develop faith.

We move people from:

Someone should do something.

What can I do with what is already in my hands?

BRAND.

A builder must learn to communicate value.

Your idea must be understood.

Your work must earn trust.

Your reputation must precede you.

Your story must travel.

Your solution must find the people who need it.

Africa cannot only produce.

Africa must learn to position what it produces.

BUILD.

Eventually belief must become action.

Learn the skill.

Start the business.

Create the product.

Fix the process.

Build the technology.

Train the child.

Mentor the young person.

Plant the farm.

Write the book.

Design the system.

Create the institution.

Employ someone.

Solve the problem.

BUILD SOMETHING.

OUR DIAGNOSIS MUST BECOME DEEPER.

If Africa needs more builders, asking people to build is not enough.

We must ask:

WHY AREN'T MORE PEOPLE BUILDING?

Is it mindset?

Education?

Fear?

Lack of skills?

Lack of exposure?

Lack of capital?

Weak institutions?

Poor mentorship?

Dependency?

Lack of networks?

Lack of discipline?

Lack of opportunity?

A culture that rewards consumption more than creation?

An education system that prepares people to look for jobs more than identify problems and create solutions?

If we diagnose the wrong problem, we will build the wrong intervention.

That is why MN Collective Builders Africa must go beyond motivation.

WE MUST BUILD CAPACITY.

THE PROCESS OF BECOMING A BUILDER

I believe it looks something like this:

SEE.

See the problem.

BELIEVE.

Believe something better is possible.

DIAGNOSE.

Understand why the problem exists.

LEARN.

Acquire the knowledge required.

BUILD YOURSELF.

Character. Skill. Discipline. Faith. Wisdom.

DESIGN.

Develop a solution.

START.

Use what is already in your hands.

BUILD.

Turn thought into something tangible.

TEST.

Discover what works and what doesn't.

IMPROVE.

Builders are not afraid of iteration.

SYSTEMISE.

Make the solution bigger than your personal effort.

MULTIPLY.

Build other builders.

REFORM.

Change the system, not merely one outcome.

That is how transformation begins.

AND WHAT DOES GOD REQUIRE OF THE BUILDER?

I believe Scripture gives us a powerful framework.

FAITH — to see what does not yet exist.

WISDOM— because through wisdom a house is built.

CHARACTER— because what we build must not destroy the people it was supposed to serve.

SKIL— Bezalel was filled with skill for his assignment.

COURAGE — Nehemiah had opposition and continued building.

DILIGENCE— builders must work.

STEWARDSHIP— what is in your hand?

SERVICE — building cannot only be about personal enrichment.

VISION— builders must see beyond today.

OBEDIENCE — Noah built according to God's instruction.

ENDURANCE— meaningful structures take time.

And perhaps above everything:

LOVE.

Because if our building does not ultimately improve human lives, we must ask what exactly we are building for.

AFRICA, WE CANNOT WAIT FOREVER.

We are the now generation.

And we are responsible for preparing the next generation.

Our children should not inherit only our complaints and limitations. 

They should inherit institutions.

Businesses.

Knowledge.

Systems.

Technology.

Values.

Infrastructure.

Brands.

Ccapital. 

Opportunity.

Faith.

And examples of Africans who saw problems and decided to build.

Maybe you cannot transform Africa.

But you can transform something within your reach.

Your family.

Your organisation.

Your classroom.

Your farm.

Your business.

Your street.

Your profession.

Your community.

Your industry.

Your idea.

Start there.

Because rebuilding a continent will ultimately happen through millions of people accepting responsibility for their own piece of the wall.

Just like Nehemiah.

One section.

One family.

One assignment.

One builder at a time.

AFRICA, ARISE AND BUILD.

The future will not simply arrive.

WE HAVE TO BUILD IT.

And perhaps the question for every one of us is no longer:

WHO IS GOING TO FIX AFRICA?

Perhaps the better question is:

WHAT HAS GOD PLACED IN MY HAND TO BUILD?

Find it.

Develop the capacity.

Submit to the process.

Build with wisdom.

Build with integrity.

Build with excellence.

Build people.

Build systems.

Build solutions.

And when you have built something worth preserving

BUILD ANOTHER BUILDER.

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:16

BUILDERl.

We are called to be the light of the world and the salt of the earth.

But light must shine.

Salt must influence.

Faith must produce fruit.

And those who have been built by God must eventually become people through whom God builds.

Builders of people.

Builders of businesses.

Builders of families.

Builders of institutions.

Builders of communities.

Builders of systems.

Builders of industries.

Builders of nations.

Architects of hope.

Repairers of broken bridges.

Restorers of walls.

Rebuilders of cities.

Reformers of systems.

Isaiah speaks of those who will be called:

Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings— Isaiah 58:12

What a picture of the believer's assignment.

We are not only here to identify what is broken.

WE ARE HERE TO BUILD.

Like David, may we become mighty in our generation.

May God give us the wisdom, power, grace, character and excellence required to confront the assignments before us.

Because the value of our faith should eventually become visible in what our lives contribute to the world.

Our Christianity should enter the marketplace.

Education.

Technology.

Agriculture.

Healthcare.

Government.

Media.

Hospitality.

Manufacturing.

Finance.

Families.

Communities.

And wherever God positions us.

You cannot be a builder until you are connected to the main builder. GOD.

People who can look at broken walls and see what can be restored.

People who can look at broken systems and imagine what can be reformed.

People who can look at communities without hope and begin building possibilities.

People who don't only ask:

What can Africa give me?

But:

God, what have You placed inside me that Africa needs?

Build the mind.

Build the character.

Build the faith.

Build the competence.

Build the discipline.

Build the reputation.

Build the capacity.

Then take what God has placed inside you and BUILD.

Build with POWER.

Build with WISDOM.

Build with GRACE.

Build with EXCELLENCE.

Build by FAITH.

And let the evidence of your life point people back to God.

WELCOME TO THE ERA OF GOD’S BUILDERS.

REBUILDERS.

REFORMERS.

RESTORERS.

ARCHITECTS OF HOPE.

BUILDERS OF PEOPLE.

BUILDERS OF NATIONS.

Africa, there are walls to repair.

There are bridges to rebuild.

There are systems to reform.

There are cities to restore.

There are industries to create.

There are generations to equip.

There is work to do.

And perhaps God intends to do some of His wonders through your life.

BELIEVE THAT YOU CAN.

BRAND WHAT YOU CARRY.

BUILD WHAT YOUR GENERATION NEEDS.

AFRICA, WE WILL BUILD AGAIN. 🇰🇪🌍

The task of building and rebuilding at any level requires a collective responsibility and unity. E.g family walls, moral , media. Institutions , education, goverment, churches, corporate.
