A Prayer for Two Builders Who Meet Under God.
A Prayer for Two Builders Who Meet Under God
Heavenly Father,
When these two people meet, let their first connection not be based merely on attraction, status, success or what they can do for one another.
Let them recognise that You are the reason their paths have crossed.
Your Word says:
“For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” — Matthew 18:20
So, Father, let You be the third strand in their relationship.
Before they choose each other, let them both choose You.
Before they build together, let them both be rooted in You.
Before they make plans, let them seek Your wisdom.
Before they make promises, let them understand covenant.
Let neither person become the other's God, saviour or source.
You alone are their source.
Align Their Hearts
Father, bring their values into alignment.
Align their faith.
Align their character.
Align their vision.
Align their understanding of marriage.
Align their approach to family.
Align their stewardship of money.
Align their desire to serve.
Align their ambitions with Your purposes.
Where they are different, teach them how their differences can complement rather than divide them.
Where one is strong, let that strength strengthen the other.
Where one is weak, let the other provide grace rather than judgement.
Let them become partners without losing their individual identities and callings.
Let Them Seek You First
Your Word says:
“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” — Matthew 6:33
Teach them to build their relationship around this principle.
Let them seek You before they seek success.
Let them seek You before they seek wealth.
Let them seek You before they seek recognition.
Let them seek You before they make major decisions.
Let prayer become normal between them.
Let Scripture guide them.
Let wisdom govern them.
Let humility protect them.
Let obedience direct them.
And as they seek You together, provide what they need according to Your will.
Let Them Build
Father, these are builders.
Teach them not merely to dream together but to build together.
Give them ideas that create value.
Give them courage to execute.
Give them wisdom to manage resources.
Give them discipline to finish what they start.
Give them creativity.
Give them resilience.
Give them financial wisdom.
Give them excellent relationships.
Give them the right mentors and destiny helpers.
Give them the right opportunities.
Give them the right people.
Let their combined gifts create something greater than either could have created alone.
Your Word says:
“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labour.” — Ecclesiastes 4:9
Let their partnership produce a return not only financially, but spiritually, relationally, socially and generationally.
Let Their Home Become a Place of Purpose
Father, if You lead them into marriage, let their home become more than a beautiful place.
Let it become a place of peace, love haven, happy times, fun, wisdom, prayer, hospitality and purpose.
Let their children see what healthy partnership looks like.
Let people who enter their home experience love.
Let their resources bless others.
Let their success create opportunities.
Let their businesses create employment.
Let their influence serve communities.
Let their lives point people toward You.
May their marriage become a platform for stewardship rather than selfishness.
Confirm What Is From You
Father, don't allow either person to be blinded by emotion.
If this relationship is from You, confirm it through character, consistency, wisdom, peace and fruit.
If it is not from You, give them courage to release it.
Don't allow friendship and chemistry to override discernment.
Don't allow loneliness to override wisdom.
Don't allow potential to override character.
Don't allow worldly success to override spiritual alignment.
Give them wise counsel and the humility to receive it.
Let them watch each other's lives over time.
Let what they see privately agree with what they say publicly.
And Make Them Everything You Created Them To Be
Father, don't let their relationship make them smaller.
Let it make them more fully who You created them to be.
May he become more of the man You designed him to be.
May she become more of the woman You designed her to be.
May his calling flourish.
May her calling flourish.
May they encourage each other's gifts rather than compete with them.
May they celebrate one another's victories.
May they carry each other's burdens.
May they correct each other with love.
May they forgive quickly.
May they communicate honestly.
May they protect their covenant.
May they keep growing.
May they be exceptional 🙏
And When They Look Back...
Let them realise that You were present from the beginning.
That the meeting wasn't accidental.
That the preparation mattered.
That the waiting mattered.
That the healing mattered.
That the lessons mattered.
That the individual seasons mattered.
And that when two people who have surrendered themselves to God finally come together, their union can become greater than romance it can become stewardship of a shared assignment.
Father, let them say:
We did not find each other merely to be happy together. We found each other to become everything God created us to be and to build what He entrusted to us.
Let their lives testify that two people who seek God first can build something that blesses generations.
You are the foundation.
They are the builders.
Their marriage is the partnership.
Their lives are the testimony.
And the fruit belongs to You.*
In Jesus' name,
Amen.
“Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.” — Proverbs 16:3
Declaration:
When two builders who love God meet, let them not merely ask, “What can we give each other?” Let them ask, “God, what can You build through us?

A Prayer Two Builders Can Pray Together When They Meet
Heavenly Father,
Today and everyday we come before You not as two people who have found each other by accident, but as two people who have each surrendered our lives to You.
Before we found one another, You knew us.
You knew our journeys, our mistakes, our dreams, our wounds, our gifts and the purposes You placed within us.
Today, we place both of us and all we are and have before You.
We don't want to build our relationship according to the world's standards.
We don't want to be led by loneliness, lust, status, pressure or appearances.
We want You to lead us.
Your Word says:
“Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” — Matthew 6:33
So together, we choose to seek You first.
Before our relationship.
Before our careers.
Before our businesses.
Before our wealth.
Before our plans.
You come first.
Make Us Whole
Father, we ask You to continue making each of us whole.
Heal what needs healing.
Forgive what needs forgiveness.
Correct what needs correction.
Strengthen what needs strengthening.
Teach us to take responsibility for our individual journeys rather than expecting the other person to complete us.
Help us become the man and woman You created us to be.
Let neither of us become the other's God, identity or source.
You alone are our source.
And because we are rooted in You, let us be able to love one another freely not from fear, desperation or dependency, but from strength and covenant.
Align Us
Father, if You have brought us together, align us.
Align our faith.
Align our values.
Align our character.
Align our vision.
Align our understanding of marriage.
Align our approach to money.
Align our approach to family.
Align our ambitions.
Align our purpose.
Where we are different, teach us to complement each other.
Where we disagree, give us wisdom.
Where one is stronger, let that strength serve the other.
Where one is weak, let the other respond with grace.
Don't allow our differences to become division.
Teach us that unity does not mean sameness.
Teach Us to Recognise What Is From You
Father, give us discernment.
Let us never choose each other simply because we are attracted to one another.
Let us see character.
Let us see fruit.
Let us see consistency.
Let us see faithfulness.
Let us see how we each treat people when nobody is watching.
Let us recognise what is genuine.
If there is anything in either of us that could destroy what You are building, expose it early.
Give us the courage to confront it.
Give us humility to change.
And give us wisdom to seek counsel when we need it.
Teach Us to Love Each Other Well
Father, teach me to love the person beside me in a way that honours You.
Teach the man to love his woman sacrificially, faithfully and honourably.
Teach the woman to respect, encourage and support her man while remaining fully herself.
Let neither of us control the other.
Let neither manipulate the other.
Let neither diminish the other's calling.
Let neither use money, affection, intimacy or silence as weapons.
Instead, let our relationship be characterised by:
honour, trust, honesty, kindness, communication, patience, forgiveness and faithfulness.
Let us be peace and safe places for one another.
Let Us Build Together
Father, we are builders.
You have given each of us gifts, experiences, skills, ideas and dreams.
Teach us how to steward them.
Your Word says:
“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labour.” — Ecclesiastes 4:9
Let our partnership produce good fruit.
Let us build businesses.
Build careers.
Build investments.
Build communities.
Build opportunities.
Build wealth responsibly.
Build institutions.
Build a home.
Build a a successful and exceptional family.
Build a legacy.
Build Generational Wealth with WISDOM
Let us never become so consumed with building externally that we forget to build our relationship internally.
Let the marriage/ union be stronger than the business.
Let the character be stronger than the brand.
Let the covenant be stronger than the lifestyle.
Let Our Home Belong to You
Father, if You lead us into marriage, we give You our future home before we even build it.
Let it be a place of peace.
A place of prayer.
A place of wisdom.
A place where children are loved and taught.
A place where family can gather, laugh, pray and have happy fun times.
A place where people can peacefully rest.
A place where generosity flows.
A place where Your presence is honoured.
Let our home never become a showroom of success without the substance of love.
Let Our Success Have a Ripple Effect
Father, don't allow us to build only for ourselves.
Let whatever You place in our hands create opportunities for others.
If You give us businesses, let them create employment.
If You give us wealth, let us steward it wisely.
If You give us influence, let us use it responsibly.
If You give us knowledge, let us teach.
If You give us platforms, let us open doors for others.
If You give us abundance, let us remember those who have less.
Make our relationship a source of multiplication.
Let what You build through us touch generations beyond our own.
Protect Us From the Noise
Father, there will always be voices.
People will have opinions.
People may not understand our choices.
People may misunderstand our relationship.
People may question our decisions.
Give us wisdom to listen when correction is necessary and courage to ignore noise when it is not.
Don't allow us to live our relationship for an audience.
Let us live it before You.
Let our private character be greater than our public image.
And Let Us Become Everything You Created Us to Be
Father, we don't want to lose ourselves in one another.
We want to become more of ourselves in You.
Let him become everything You created him to be.
Let her become everything You created her to be.
Let his calling flourish.
Let her calling flourish.
Let his gifts make room for him.
Let her gifts make room for her.
Let us celebrate each other's growth.
Let us never compete with each other's purpose.
Instead, let us say:
“Your success does not threaten me. Your growth makes me grateful.”
If This Is Your Will, Establish It
Father, we place this relationship completely in Your hands.
If it is from You, establish it.
If it needs correction, correct it.
If it needs patience, give us patience.
If it needs healing, heal us.
If it needs boundaries, give us boundaries.
If it needs wisdom, give us wisdom.
And if there is anything that is not from You, give us the courage to release it.
We refuse to force what You have not ordained.
We refuse to hold onto what You are asking us to release.
We choose obedience over emotion.
Two Becoming One
Your Word says:
“Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.” — Mark 10:9
Father, if You join us together, teach us what it means to become one.
Not one identity.
Not one personality.
Not one ambition.
But one covenant, one household, one direction and one commitment before You.
Let our union become a testimony of what happens when two people surrender their individual lives to God and then choose to build together.
And when we look back years from now, let us be able to say:
“God was faithful. He prepared us separately, brought us together intentionally, and taught us how to build together.”
We give You our relationship.
We give You our future.
We give You our home.
We give You our finances.
We give You our businesses.
We give You our families.
We give You our dreams.
We give You our bodies.
We give You our gifts.
We give You our entire lives.
Build through us what we could never build alone.
And may everything we become, everything we build and everything we accomplish ultimately point back to You.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
Our declaration together
We choose God first.
We choose wisdom over impulse.
We choose character over appearances.
We choose purpose over pressure.
We choose covenant over convenience.
We choose growth over ego.
We choose building over consuming.
We choose peace over noise.
We choose each other without making each other our god.
And together, we will steward everything God places in our hands and become everything He created us to be.
